I should probably start by saying I'm a massive fan of celtic and folk music.

Don't let that put you off though, if you're new to the world of folk music then don't be fooled into thinking it's all about crusty old folkies and people singing with one finger in their ear.

It's WAY past that now, and there are a ton of young musicians, exciting musicians coming through the ranks and they're playing vibrant, lively, fast, and modern music.  Sure they're still often playing tunes that might be hundreds of years old but they're also playing their own compositions, tunes written today, that still hold true to the traditional music styles of yesteryear...is that a word...?  Feels like it should be.

Anyway, in this blog I'm going to be rambling on about all things folky and if you keep reading you'll see what I mean about it being exciting, and about the music being, well, quite frankly, bloody brilliant!

Check out some of my favourite videos on YouTube here and you'll see what I mean.
